Blog Catalog Organ Donation Community Campaign, Raising Awareness
Blog Catalog, is a blog community i really enjoy and am happy to be a part of. Every month or so, they issue members a call-to-action. To turn our blogs into a mouthpiece for causes that need awareness and to offer just a bit of a platform with which to engage readers and visitors. The Cause for July is Organ Donation, and to offer everyone information and motivation to consider becoming an organ donor, and to save lives.
You probably have someone in your life who has benefited from an urgent and much-needed organ donation or perhaps you yourself are on a waiting list, and know first hand the need and importance of this issue. For every success story about someone whose life was saved because of an available organ (from someone who signed-up to donate) their is an equal amount of stories of people who did not make it, because of a lack of a suitable organ.
Today, i would personally like to ask you to consider becoming an organ donor, and support a life-saving cause. Many U.S. states have programs in place, to make it easy to sign-up, in my state you can register at the local library, dept. of motor vehicles, or a local community agency.
