I mean, wasn't Hitler a vegetarian? Some people are just messed up. And maybe if they murdered someone or something like that, they deserve to be forced to eat meat. No matter what that person did its their right and the prisons responsibility to feed that person. Sorry but you won't last long with a 5 year sentence and all you can eat is broccoli. As a vegan I would fully expect to be offered an alternative if I was ever incarcerated. And I am glad that the man got sent to a vegan friendly jail. Plus a vegan probably isn't going to jail for anything bad... Unless you think standing up for animals who are innocent and defenceless is a criminal offence. They don't need to be catering to everyone's individual needs. If a prisoner doesn't want to eat the meatloaf, they should be allowed to take extra broccoli.
