Simon Cowell Of American Idol Supports Meatless Mondays

Simon Cowell has joined the legendary Paul McCartney in his all-out global vegetarian campaign, Meatless Mondays.

Simon was prompted by fellow American Idol alum, the UK version (and long-time vegetarian) Leona Lewis who asked him to partake weekly in not eating meat.

Why? First because Simon is a big fan of Lewis and also because he’s an ardent animal lover. He plans to spread the vegetarian word to all his UK co-horts and as an international star, get the ball rolling all over the globe. Not too mention, that after a few more Meatless Mondays, he’ll look even more fetching in his itty bitty teeny weeny blue bikini. Ha!

Let’s also give credit to Sir Paul McCartney, who started the Meatless Monday campaign to give people an easy entry into the world of a plant-based meal. Essentially you’re given recipes, videos and other good simple ideas on turning your Mondays into a meat-free zone.

Kudos to Simon for supporting Meatless Mondays, and to Paul for creating it. Yay!

    Hey, Charlotte:

I love it, too. Simon is pretty HUGE in the UK, so he has plenty of pull to bring awareness. Yay!

    Thanxs for coming by.

Is it true that Simon was only recently circumcised? That puts a different spin on vegetarianism.

Being an animal lover was exactly what inspired me to become vegetarian, too. We now have a house full of pets, and although my family isn’t vegetarian as well, they will happily eat any meat-free or soy product I serve! Some of their favorite recipes are vegatarian.

It’s great for people to try it out and not feel like they are missing anything :-) Even if it’s simply seen as being the healthier choice. Good for Simon to get the word out!

I am totally agreed with it. There should be one day in every weak in which we should not eat meat. It will help us to control our weight as well as control the increasing consumption of meat because of which prices are going higher and higher.
